Full Moon in Aquarius : Anxious Detachment

Emotional maelstrom on ice. Detective movie climax on pause. Over the next two weeks, the intimate explosions looming on the outskirts of your reality are fuzzily out of focus, lovingly haunting you until you deal with them little by little. You may be diving deep into cinema, a book, tv show, or…partying, but whatever you’re up to, you are deftly avoiding making contact with these inner phantoms even as they gnash at your periphery.

To be fair, the over-intellectualizing and detachment isn’t altogether the wrong move. The intensity of the storm in the background of your consciousness at this full moon would quite honestly be too overwhelming if not weathered obliquely. You are patching up inner turmoil in the same way a Da Vinci surgical robot stitches up a hernia: through careful programming and from a safe distance.

With this lunation, you’re making contact with intimacy in unlikely ways, maybe a a crying jag instigated by a wholesome friend hang or a deep emotional resonance from a video game or a sighting of a strange animal. With Aquarius, the weirder the context, the more likely it is to trigger an emotional reaction or an unexpected tenderness. Some symptoms during this phase might be shadowy dreams, a sense of dread or ennui which is hard to place but feels way too deep to get into right now. You’re learning to integrate your need for both intimacy (Leo) and freedom (Aquarius) through remote viewing.
