Full Moon in Gemini: O Happy Dagger
Moon Opposed Venus: what if we kissed in the Classical Lit aisle
Moon Opposed Mars: gimme knife
Moon Square the Nodes: scrapbook moment, snapshot [you'll look back and remember this was the turning point]
Use your words. Use the full throat of all of them. Your magnetism is high right now. Your tongue is sharp. Your tenor is deep and the world feels too bright, maybe also too real. You're allergic to the rose-colored and there is pressure to put your voice into action and use words to cut through to the very bone of the situation (mars/mercury). This full moon in Gemini is singular and intense (even with so much mutable energy, it's still a pulsing sort). With Mercury in Scorpio hosting the energy, you are penetrating the bullshit and making decisions, setting clear bright lines down on the paper, and destroying everything falling outside of the bounds.
With Mars AND Venus directly opposed it, you might notice that your mind is a hotbed of furies, pseudo-animal, kicking up feral hatred and gratitude in quick succession. The key word of this transit is frustration. It's worth examining where you are being stifled and pressured and pushed. And just exactly how do you push back without totally killing the deal or dealing TKO damage (Scorpio w/Mars + Venus)? You will be challenged to say something or make a decision this week that might be tough to undo.
With Merc in drippy, sopping Scorpio, there's a tinge of the dramatic tale of woe to your inner narration. A little Shakespeare snakes through your mortal coil: thoughts feel hot and tinged with obsession. An interesting thread weaving through with Gemini is the concept of a scam or sham. The feeling that something is a huge charade and you’re only now understanding how very not real or not worth it is and calling it out in your own life. This inflames you and cracks through illusion. Even actual scams or falsehoods can be revealed now for what they are. Luckily, Mercury is direct so you wake up to the trick just before drinking the poison.
This week, it might feel seductively possible to resolve the two poles of Gemini (intellectual) and Sagittarius (bon vivant), but we all know that's not gonna happen. The only uniting point we find is the nodal square across Pisces/Virgo access, creating a tension that allows you to understand what you don't want, so you can navigate what you do. In spite of this, it forms a grand cross and the energy feels stubborn and logjammed. The Venusian need to connect clashes with the Martian urge for simple power. You are being asked to resolve this by noticing the heaviness and navigating carefully through the areas that feel stuck to avoid getting more stuck. There will be a crystal clear ‘before’ and ‘after’ that you will be able to look back on.
It might be best to make the decision that you usually wouldn't this week, whatever that is. Is it to decide to be the bigger person here (Venus) or is it to be brutal (Mars)? You will know what fire needs tending. The nodes signal we are meeting a karmic touchstone period. You will remember this as the "loosing of the bonds" where things start to shift, as if shaken free like gems from their quarry. With Venus, this may relate to a relationship or friendship pattern that you are finally ending (but not without a hot fuss). With Mars, you already know what you're going to do. With the nodes, an event from outside starts the conversation.
If you have mutable placements in your chart (Gemini, Sag, Pisces, Virgo), you will likely feel extremely burnt out this week, like driving with the brakes on or dragging ass in whatever areas of life where these signs fall (check the house cusps of Sag and Gemini in your chart). Oppositions mixed with squares create tension that is technically unresolvable and generates a lot of wasted heat, like the least efficient turbine of all time. You're strong, but you're not…that strong. You are going to be pulled in two directions that both feel wrong. Getting clear on your thoughts will help navigate you to what you need to do.
The year is coming to a close and the full moon is forcing you to use your words where you feel you cannot take action. In a way, this is the action. There is a pulsing jewel compressed by the tension of this coal mine, but not visible to you yet. Be patient, and you'll understand the pressure from this full moon was birthing a new narrative that should develop at the new moon in the next two weeks. If you've been feeling the pressure from Saturn over the past two and a half years, you will start to see the glimmer at the end of the tunnel at this time. Saturn and Mercury turned direct this week and the other mutable placements (Neptune, Uranus) are soon to follow. Just know that the pressure of the full moon will feel closer to a crowning than a blissful enlightenment.
